First, we turned to luminaries such as Abbott and Costello, George Carlin, and an anonymous blogger to help explain the complex simplicity of baseball. Last week, in this space, we leaned on a classic Disney ‘Sports Goofy’ cartoon to learn all about football.
This week, we’re taking on soccer.
Here is a three-pack of videos that provides important insights about “the beautiful game”:
1. Futbol is quite different from Football. That’s why we call it “soccer.”
2. Soccer is an elegant, strategic game, but there are differences in our “American temperament” that make us not necessarily inclined towards the sport.
