Bill Jacobsen is renowned for his conflict resolution work. But today, he’s fighting for his life, and you might be able to help.

Our “100 Acts of Male Goodness” series profiles men who are changing the world in positive ways. Today’s profile is a little different, though — because it might include you, too.
Ghandi famously said that we all must be the change we wish to see in this world. If you’re between the ages of 21 and 50 (male or female), this is an opportunity to be that change — by saving the life of a man who has spent his entire life advocating for others.
Bill Jacobsen, an internationally renowned peacemaker, is dying of a rare liver disease and needs someone to donate part of his or her liver.
His work in peaceful conflict resolution in Rwanda and Burundi earned him the award of Most Valuable Peacemaker in 2014. And his trauma survival workshops for immigrants, as well as his work with prison-based Alternatives to Violence program, have earned him recognition in this country, as well. But he can’t continue this vital work because of this disease.
This is where you come in: Any person between the ages of 21 and 50 — any blood type — can donate part of his or her liver to save Bill’s life. For more information, please email Mary Swoyer-Larson ([email protected]).
Could you be that change — and save Bill Jacobsen’s life?
