That would be Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the 85-year-old liberal darling and feminist icon who is the subject of RBG, a documentary released on May 4. It tells of Ginsburg’s remarkable life and career—how she was initially among a small group of women working as lawyers in America, how she took on male privilege, and how she eventually made it to the Supreme Court while earning the nickname “Notorious RBG.” The Hollywood Reporter says RBG is “a documentary that, like its subject … is eminently sober, well-mannered, highly intelligent, scrupulous, and just a teeny-weeny bit reassuringly dull.” Multiple reviews make note that the film can be prosaic and borders on hagiography, but its viewers don’t seem to mind too much. Over the past three days, “RBG” has an 85 percent positive score on Social. That’s right in the middle of the Rotten Tomatoes critics’ score (93 percent) and its audience score (75 percent). –Alex Shultz
