We’ve launched our Olympex 2012 exhibition, a Race for Knowledge game, you can have your photo taken on our Piazza with an Olympic torch (this is our Marketing Manager Chloe holding one) and this morning my colleague Clare, our Partnerships Manager for the Business & IP Centre, emailed some questions round to the team to test our Olympics knowledge. She was also providing me with some last minute revision before I start my first shift as a London 2012 Games Maker.
Have a go for yourselves… I’ll post the answers this evening.
1) What are the 5 disciplines in the modern pentathlon?
2) Which bit of Daley Thompson’s kit broke in 1988 and prevented him from winning a third successive decathlon gold?
3) How far away is the take-off board to the sand pit in the long jump?
4) How many seats are there in the London athletics stadium?
5) How many points do you score for hitting the bulls-eye in archery?
6) Which Olympic sport has been known as ‘gossima’ and ‘whiff-whaff’ in the past?
7) How many nations are taking part in the London 2012 Games?
8) Who designed the Team GB outfits?
9) It’s the first to how many points to win a set in badminton?
10) Is it compulsory to wear a helmet in cycling?
