It all starts with stillness, the moment that precedes all action, movement or thought.
It is that instance which is here, now.
The root of all of our processes.
It is from this still place that the tree grows, thoughts germinate and flowers open.
Like rich earth we can cultivate this, providing foundations, support and nourishment for all deeds.
To start with movement is to ignore this foundational stillness and is the way of our modern lives, where doing precedes being.
In the act of allowing we untap a vastness of experience and instinct, which acts only upon that which faces it.
This is the being of the natural world and the basis of ecology.
Our sapient kind is no different.
