See a real view of parenting in ‘Winging It’
There are some pretty good comic strips out there. Few of them are like Fowl Language though. I stumbled upon this comic at a Barnes and Noble in my city, and found it to be absolutely hilarious. Each strip was honest and made me laugh out loud. When I heard about Winging It I couldn’t wait to read it. I was able to get a digital copy of this book and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Winging It here:
The world’s finest parenting cartoon featuring ducks presents a comprehensive view of the early parenting years in all of their maddening cuteness and sanity-depriving chaos.
In addition to dozens of previously unpublished cartoons, Fowl Language: Winging It is organized into 12 thematic chapters—including “Babies: Oh Dear God, What Have We Done?”; “Siblings: Best Frenemies Forever”; and “Sleep: Everybody Needs It, Nobody’s Gettin’ It”—each of which begins with a hilarious, illustrated 500-word essay.
I had a lot of fun reading this book. It was different from the other Fowl Language books I have read, but that was not a bad thing. Breaking it down into chapters was clever and the essay before each one was pretty dang funny. Every cartoon had that honesty and humor that always makes me laugh. Whether you are a parent or not I suggest you check this book out.
Fowl Language ‘Winging It’ comes out October 22nd. You can pre-order this book on Amazon, at Barnes and Noble and Indiebound.
