The gripping, heart wrenching story ‘Lion’ us coming to Blu-Ray
Biographical films are quite common lately. Some of these films are good, but others not so much. Lion finds a way to stand apart from the rest. It is a gripping tale that has never been told before. I was able to get a review copy and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Lion here:
Five year old Saroo gets lost on a train which takes him thousands of miles across India, away from his home and family. Saroo must learn to survive alone in Kolkata, before ultimately being adopted by an Australian couple. Twenty-five years later, armed with only a handful of memories, his unwavering determination, and a revolutionary technology known as Google Earth, he sets out to find his lost family and finally return to his first home.
I was quite impressed by Lion. When I turned it on, I had no idea it was based on a true story. The narrative it weaves is a strong one that tells an amazing tale. The soundtrack is great with songs that fit the tone of so many scenes perfectly. The cast is wonderful together with each one doing their part to move the story along. The film throws a few surprises in that aren’t always easy to see coming. If you want to learn more about Lion click on this website.
