Hear and account of this crazy scandal in ‘Chappaquiddick’
I won’t claim to know a lot about American history. Most of the Kennedy’s came and went long before I was alive. I know some of the tragedies surrounding this family, but clearly not all of them. When I heard of Chappaquiddick it sounded kind of interesting to me. I was able to get a review copy and this is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Chappaquiddick here:
This suspenseful historical thriller examines the infamous 1969 death of Mary Jo Kopechne, who drowned after Senator Ted Kennedy drove off a bridge on Chappaquiddick Island, and the moral and legal complexities that play out over the following week.
Chappaquiddick was a bit of an odd film. The story it tells is not bad, just the way it gets told wasn’t always that strong. The cast does a great job, especially Ed Helms, Jim Gaffigan and Clancy Brown. They each play important roles in this story, and do a wonderful job bringing them to the screen. This movie was also a tad predictable, and dragged on sometimes. If you want to learn more about this film click on this website.
Chappaquiddick comes out on Blu-Ray combo pack and DVD July 10th. You can follow this movie on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
