Some new heroes show up in ‘Reign of the Supermen’
I have enjoyed most of the DC animated films I have seen. They do a great job bringing many comic book stories to life. Even though I knew how Death of Superman was going to end, it was still a very good movie. When I heard about Reign of the Supermen I was hoping I would get to watch it. I was able to get a review copy and here is what I thought of this film.
You can read the plot for Reign of the Supermen here:
Earth’s citizens – and the Man of Steel’s heroic contemporaries – are dealing with a world without Superman. But the aftermath of Superman’s death, and the subsequent disappearance of his body, leads to a new mystery – is Superman still alive? The question is further complicated when four new super-powered individuals – Steel, Cyborg Superman, Superboy and the Eradicator – emerge to proclaim themselves as the ultimate hero. In the end, only one will be able to proclaim himself the world’s true Superman.
I thoroughly enjoyed Reign of the Supermen. This movie does a great job introducing these new heroes, and revealing more about them as this story was being told. None of them are as they seem, and not all of them may be the hero they claim to be. When a new villain tries to take over the Earth, they may have to work together to stop them. There was action, suspense, drama and a bit of comedy sprinkled in too. If you enjoyed Death of Superman then you will want to check this film out.
Reign of the Supermen comes out on 4K Ultra HD Combo pack, Blu-Ray and Digital January 29th. You can pre-order this movie on Amazon, at Target and Walmart.
