The field gates of Facinas are a law unto themselves.
They are works of frugal art, a testament to re-use and cunning.
More string and cable than wood, one wonders what remains of the original structure.
Yet they work and somehow fit beautifully into the ecology of the Dehesa.
This is no chocolate box fantasy land.
It is a working landscape of real people, of communities and toil.
It is my home.
