Here, before me this boulder rests in perfect balance; a fragment of the great mountain behind.
However, even for these adamantine denizens of the ecology, time is moving inexorably toward their final winnowing into other forms of soil and sand.
Yet one senses no resistance, just a calm entropic presence of stone moving through time and being utterly of this place.
