100 Words on Love, by Nate Bagley
–
I stand on your doorstep and pull you in close before we part ways once again, just like we’ve done countless times before.
A million memories of this same loving embrace race through my mind: Memories we haven’t experienced yet.
Our first dance as husband and wife. The arrival of our first child. The announcement of a new job. The fear of moving to a new place. The day your father dies. Our 50th anniversary. All the moments in between.
We hold each other through a lifetime.
Did you see the same vision?
“Goodnight,” I whisper.
