Never pay for anything full priced. Especially, if you can help it. I found a coupon for a hair cut, partial highlights, and style for $117. If you think about the type of haircut I would have been getting from the type of stylist who did it it probably would have come out to be about $300. That is $300 I don’t have right now. However, I think the hairdresser stiffed me. She saw my long beautiful lucisous locks and thought how she could have made it better for the worth of the coupon.
I had to come back in two sittings.
She didn’t want to rush the process.
That’s fine.
I was impressed by the haircut, though. She made me look extra spicy. I was kind of scared. I couldn’t recognize who she was staring back at me through the mirror.
I needed to fix it immediately. So, I washed my hair and styled it the way I liked it and rescheduled the appointment to a later date where she would only charge me for the toner at $55. She could have done better.
My highlights came out splotchy & streaked. I bought 20 Developer for a level 1 or 2 lift and purple shampoo to see if I can salvage the yellow stripes behind the white streaks that aged me 20 years, lol. I swear, I looked at my 50-year-old senior and cried. I was so scared. I gave myself bangs quickly to add youth to the frame of my face. Maybe that was a good or bad decision.
The bangs didn’t come out so bad. I followed Brad Mondo’s technique for bangs as I fixed the uneven layers that didn’t match on the opposite side of my face with his butterfly haircut tutorial. Everyone at the grocery store was staring at me once I styled my haircut.
Dad said its because I’m a beautiful young woman.
I believed him for a moment as I manifest accepting my self-worth for who I am.
I felt fire, lol.
I like the way that the highlights under my bangs bring out the black of my raven hair, so it worked out in the end.
Now, I can’t trust anyone else with my hair for a while. I feel that Brad Mondo’s tutorials will keep me company for a while until I find someone who understands my hair vision. I’m scared to do too much of anything with my hair for fear of screwing it up. However, here I am with all the courage in the world to say, I fixed it! At least, for now. I can walk outside now without feeling like an old woman that I am definitely not ready to face for the next 30 years. Please, don’t judge me, haha.
