In the continuing spirit of naming the Full Moons of the year after the fashion of our aboriginal ancestors, this is ‘The Moon Of The Growing Clouds.’
–––
After months of Spring and Summer drought, the great towering cumulus clouds are amassing over the far distant mountains.
From those now sombre peaks, the faint sound of the awakening Thunderbird can be heard.
With his return, there is a promise of rain to drench this parched landscape once more.
Last night, those same moisture laden clouds turned the moon this intense shade of blue as they gently brushed her surface.
This is one of the important moons of change as the great wheel turns and Autumns essences are on the edge of the breeze.
