I can’t help but think that two of your simple steps could transform every interaction, not just ones where threats are perceived.
A. Find awareness of humanity in each individual
B. Step out of our own head before responding
I know that we need to change the food of the mass media to have a broad impact on some issues, but I can’t help but think that much of the change will come on the interpersonal level by helping people figure out why they feel threatened. I just am not sure how to personally do that. I’ll have to give it some more thought.
