The first rains of Autumn washed over this landscape last night.

All around me, the parched earth drinks deeply of this life sustaining pluviam.
The statuesque aspens that only yesterday hung low and desperate to the ground are now tall and vibrant, their dessicated cells swelling to the bounty of the rain.
The intense waiting is nearly over for this ecology and it can once more burgeon with the promise of new life.
