In the midst of transition and change, it may seem you are in the middle of a hurricane and you cannot catch your own breath to save your sense of having a real life. It is just the energy rush of the birthing of change blowing through your front yard and is now hovering over your front porch.
You find yourself sitting in your rocking chair staring out the window searching for an answer to save your personal and political sanity. The small voice of transition whispers to you speaking the obvious, the fact you must embrace the oncoming change or get lost in the pounding of the upcoming, falling rain.
The pain of birthing creates a state of fear by breaking open the skin of the soul. The fear is only as real as you as you allow the demon to rule your sensibility of being. Fear comes like a howling animal, claiming territory as a false sense of power, a storm raging through the mind and body. But fear is but only one of our many emotions, a temporary energy or indicator of an impending movement.
Don’t lay there. Get up and suit up for life’s journey and remember to sing a song of life, even if under your breath.

It can appear we have no control because it makes our larger selves, which has the capacity to vision solution and possibilities, to become vulnerable to the state of feeling small and unable to fight yourself out of a wet paper bag. Fear is a resounding echo that can deaden the beats of our hearts, corrupt our sense of trusting life.
Fear robs you of hope, the beauty of the song of life. Fear can make you immobile and make you not want to get up when you fall down to the ground in emotional exhaustion. You become bruised, but you have to remember you are not broken.
There is always more to the journey, so you must remember to get up. Don’t lay there. Get up and suit up for life’s journey and remember to sing a song of life, even if under your breath. Never allow fear to choke off your breathing. Without air, it is impossible to sing.
The fear of change can easily turn to anger. When the sense of possibilities seems dim, the human emotions attempt to protect the body and mind from harm and erupts into a state of anger. The anger of change prepares us to commit to change. The emotion of anger is a form of self-empowerment. But we have to remember, it is just an emotional jump starter.
It is not a workable state of being in a long-term sensibility because it is not a valid solution. Grab an umbrella and come out of the rain storm of fear. Be fearless and sing in the midst of the rain.
Trust is a sense of reliance, a belief in the integrity of a person, place or thing involved in a joint contract.
Trust is the belief of the character of an individual or an organization of people.
Trust is giving the custody and care of your well being to another.
Trust is a form of hope revealed.
Trust is the hope and belief your umbrella will keep you dry in a rainy downpour.
As a modern man and citizen, I feel I have reason to be in fear, but I cannot allow my fear to reign supreme. I am a man of love and a man of solution. I believe in finding a workable answer to all human issues and conflict. I am a believer in having a conversation to promote a healing discussion which would lead to a compassionate solution.
Being in fear does not foster solution, nor does it foster trust. I am just waiting for the world to change and I am waiting in a faith in action for the heart of compassion to blossom in smells of trust. I want conversations of unified healing to be heard. I am singing notes of loving under my breath, waiting for fear to walk itself out the back door.
I trust the fact the sacredness of life will be honored. I honor that trust by practicing my morning rituals of releasing my fears, my afternoon medicines of feeding my soul in random acts of kindness, being of service to my community while waiting for answers to gently come. I trust in the harmony of life.
I will honor the story of the evolving change. It is just like birthing, do not be afraid of the flowing blood. The opening portal will heal.

Before the day ends I will paint over the daily newspaper and pray over the news, asking for a healing of the conflicts within our world. As a sacred artist in a modern world, it is my job to be faithful to creating living prayers to go out into the to call for a healing of our planet. I trust this truth will be manifested in our journeys of living.
I trust each individual person will be empowered and will find a way to empower those around them. I trust the truths of my words, my paintings of living prayers and my notes of loving, the healing will come when we have heard the answers blowing in the wind. I trust the seeds of change.
I water the garden of change every day in my daily actions of being an echo of love in action. I seal my contract of trust in my evening meditations of being thankful for the day to be present for the gifting of life. I trust in the rising of the morning sun I will be more today than I was yesterday. I trust I will stay dry while dancing in the rain of all of our fears. If I get wet, I trust I will soon dry.
I used to sleep with the lights on in my bathroom and in the adjoining hall because of a fear of not feeling safe. I was afraid of the monster in the closet. I no longer trust that fear. I can now sleep with the lights off because I trust the morning light will come.
I trust in my rituals of living can produce the change I want to see. I trust the process of human beings becoming their own heroes and saving themselves and this planet we live on. I trust we will understand the methods of change and respond with constructive actions. I trust we will unify in purpose and be the love that we seek.
I am inspired, guided and sustained by my sense of trust. I expect a perfect demonstration of health, harmony, and success. I pledge my trust to the infinitive intelligence that created this universe. I stand in trust of its wisdom and the unfolding mapping of events. I will honor the story of the evolving change. It is just like birthing, do not be afraid of the flowing blood. The opening portal will heal.
I trust in the healing waters that live within each and every one of us. We are born of water and live by water and we are the oceans of change. We are riding the waves and it is time to be like water, the water washing over me and washing over you. “Be like water,” that is my living mantra of change to sign the contract to be whatever creates the change. I am trusting the waves of change and I will not be a partner of fear.
