I came up with it because of my past New Year’s Eve experiences. I don’t know about you, but I have done my share of drinking and having fun, and I’ve done my share of feeling bad the next day. I want something different for New Year’s. I want something different, better, sweeter … a better induction into the New Year. It’s interesting because what we do at the beginning of a year really does kind of kick off our year in one way or the other.
So what is it that we can do this year to make a change from the last year? And I came up with an idea of my own. You might like it, you might hate it, but listen to me.
You know it’s expensive to go out on New Year’s. It’s pricey, the service sucks, and it seems like everybody’s in their own world and there’s all these people out, and it’s kind of amateur hour.
I figured if you want to change your perspective, and change the year ahead, don’t we want to do something that shows our body, our hearts, our souls that we believe in ourselves?
So what if, this is what i’m going to do, what if you go out before the 31st, go out with your friends, have some drinks, do what you want to do. You know the next day you might not feel 100% but on the 31st, on New Year’s Eve, what if you change your perspective and do something opposite of what youve ever done. What if you do something that really kick-starts the next year into something absolutely freaking amazing?
What if you do something that is positive, uplifting, and resonates with your purpose and values? I came up with an idea. I’m still it’s trying to figure it out, but I’m thinking about actually having a nice dinner and going to a Buddhist temple or something like that, where you get to see people in prayer and meditation, and may be in dance maybe in song. I haven’t really figured out exactly what I’m going to do, but it’s going to be something that’s meditative, something that’s enlightening, and something that is the opposite of anything I’ve ever done because I figured if you want to change your perspective, and change the year ahead, don’t we want to do something that shows our body, our hearts, our souls that we believe in ourselves? That we’re ready to take it to the next level? And don’t you think if we change that little thing just slightly, that it might change that cog in our brain, it might awaken us to something amazing that we never even thought about doing? It might actually put us on that right step, in the right place in our life.
It’s just an idea. I’m going to do it. I’ll let you know how it goes. Try it out, research something that’s going on in your area. It’s not all about drinking and sports. Find something and change up this year and make it your year on New Year’s Eve. I want you to live your true life.
