I never understood that false choice, myself. Growing up, I was both a jock and a nerd; I played football, baseball (well, until I seriously sprained my ankle one season and grew averse to running on bases that stuck up out of the ground), hunted, did weight lifting, took chemistry and physics, AP classes, did amateur astronomy, read a lot, built computers and played video games. Good article! Have you heard about the pastor Mark Driscoll? I can not help but see the majority of his views, if not all of them, as damning to masculine and feminine identity. And it saddens me that it seems his popularity is only gaining.
