I took these photographs over the past couple days while sitting in a Starbuck’s café which is located on the second floor of the Harris Teeter on Old Georgetown Road, I think, in Rockville Maryland USA. I stole all the shots. I kept my camera hidden behind my laptop which was on the table before me. I put my coffee cup about an inch away from the side of my computer, and when I saw something interesting, I snuck the camera lense into the little opening which I had made and discreetly clicked. The blurs in the pictures are caused mostly by the table on which I rested the camera. There was also the issue of working with low light. If you do not or cannot keep the camera real steady for a pretty long time when photographing in low light, you get some blur. I try to use the blurs for, you know, whatever: Call it poetic effect. As for the grays versus the colors: I have no explanation, only intuition.
