‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’ is out now on Blu-Ray
I really enjoyed Sonic the Hedgehog. It was a fun film that told a pretty amazing story. There was comedy, action and a ton of impressive special effects. When I heard Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was coming out on Blu-Ray I hoped I might get a chance to watch it again. I was able to get a review copy of this movie and here is what I thought of it.

After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search of an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.

I had a wonderful time watching this film again. The stakes are higher than ever when Dr. Robotnik returns with a strong new ally. Once Robotnik hears about a powerful object he decides it must be his at all costs. Meanwhile we see Sonic and Tails go on a wild adventure to stop Robotnik from getting their hands on it. As this story comes to a close life for Sonic will never be the same. ‘Robotnik Reimagined’ has Jim Carrey talking about this character and how they have changed after the first film. ‘The Powerful Puncher: Knuckles’ has Idris Elba talking about voicing this character and how much fun they had bringing this character to life. There are also some good deleted scenes and a hilarious blooper reel.
