‘The Batman’ is out now on Blu-Ray
Over the years, Batman has come to life in lots of animated TV shows and live action movies. When I heard The Batman was coming to Blu-Ray I hoped I might get a chance to watch it. I was able to get a review copy of this film and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for The Batman here:
More than a year of stalking the streets as The Batman, striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City.
With only a few trusted allies- Alfred, Lt. James Gordon- amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance among his fellow citizens.
When a cryptic killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on a investigation into the underworld where he encounters such character as Selina Kyle, Oz aka The Penguin, Carmine Falcone and Edward Nashton/ The Riddler.
As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.
I had a great time watching this movie. ‘Vengeance Meets Justice’ tells how the crew helped bring this villain and hero to life and the work put into their outfits. ‘Anatomy of The Car Chase’ tells all the work that was put in to bring this action packed scene together. ‘A Transformation: The Penguin’ shows how a new version of this character was made and how much fun Colin had playing them. There are also a few great deleted scenes.
The Batman is available now on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray and DVD. You can follow this film on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
