Creating Family Traditions Among Brothers … Among Men
Our parents left behind 4 boys. We’re all 5 or 6 years apart in age and we all have our own set of life experiences. 5 years ago, our oldest brother called a family meeting for just the brothers. Johnny, Teddy, that’s me, Charlie, and Billy.
Machu Picchu, GO Campaign, and a New Perspective
So what can we do to help? We can definitely scrape a little off the top of our lives and make a difference. Spend time, spread the word, write a check, take a trip, but most importantly find organizations like GO Campaign where 100% of your donation goes to real projects helping our very real future: the children. And of course, you can join us next year when we travel there again!
Race Report: Catalina Gran Fondo
We arrived on the Catalina Express, bikes and gear, ready for the 2015 Catalina Gran Fondo. It’s a mountain bike race that offers 3 different lengths, a 14 miler, a 41 miler and a 54 miler. Of course I opted for the 54, but after the recent rains, the organizers shaved off 9 miles of the course to protect the trails. My race wound up being 45.5 miles from start to finish with about 6742 feet of climbing.

Change your mindset and change your physical being.
Low energy? Lacking motivation? Feeling out of sorts?
We all have times when we don’t feel like we’re living up to our greatest potential. Many of us fall into a routine of wake up, have coffee, eat, work, eat, work, have some family time, eat, maybe workout, snack, sleep and repeat. Ok, maybe that’s exaggerating a bit, but it’s not far from the truth. It’s a miserable existence that none of us signed on for and it’s time to change. You can start feeling great and living life with enthusiasm, energy, passion, love and plain old fun! It’s completely up to you.

Life is made up of experiences and if you are too busy trying to make money and buy things, you’re bound to continue filling an empty hole that will not give back what you put in.
Got Tax Stress?
If you’re filling out a 1040EZ form this year, congratulations, and this post is not for you. But, if you’re like me, and you’re filling out your 1040 with a Schedule C, it’s the time to deal with higher cortisol levels.

Encouraging mind vs. Critical mind
Part of my stress comes from all that rushing. Remember those old OJ commercials where he’s running through the airport? That was me, always running, always rushing. I would run to the train, run to work, rush to family gatherings. I was, arguably, addicted to the stress that is caused by leaving everything to the last moment.
Looking to De-stress, Calm Down, and Revitalize?
Is your day full of appointments, calls, driving from here to there and back again? Do you find that when you arrive home, you take a huge sigh of relief? Do you have too much stress? If you’re like most of us, the answer is yes or at least a little bit.
It’s Okay to Cry.
So many of us get into a job, fall into a routine and miss out on all the amazing, fun and exciting things to do in life! I recently read something that Einstein said. “How many people are trapped in their everyday habits: part numb, part frightened, part indifferent? To have a better life we must keep choosing how we’re living.” Now is your time to choose!
