This comment by Ashley Dawn on the post Why The Michael Sam Kiss Freaked Me Out
Thanks Jeremy for being very respectful and even polite as you voice your opinion. I will try and do the same. I understand why you feel the way you did about the kiss. However, I do not agree with it. This is not a Christian world we live in. It is a human world, and that was a natural human expression of love and devotion. We cannot mix religion into what should and should not be aired, anymore then we should be mixing religion with politics.
Not all people believe we are born of sin, not all people believe in hell or heaven, or that women were the original harbingers of sin. If people placed as much faith in humanism as they did in God imagine the type of world we would live in.

Question of the Day:
Is accepting the unacceptable discomfort of some with consenting adult PDA’s (Example – Men kissing Men), just making it worst for all of us?

While everyone has the right to be uncomfortable with other people’s behavior be it on a “rational” or “irrational” basis, that discomfort cannot and must not guide acceptance and tolerance of consenting adult behavior. With freedom comes personal responsibility and agreeing to a live and let live life. Kissing and loving between consenting adults should not be controlled and managed by some people’s ideas of what is acceptable and what is not on any basis and especially not on a religious one.
