If you can’t say it, then it doesn’t exist, right?

Editor’s Note: Recently, the State of Florida banned government employees from using the phrases “climate change” and “global warming” in any official communications. As reported in The Miami Herald:
DEP officials have been ordered not to use the term “climate change” or “global warming” in any official communications, emails, or reports, according to former DEP employees, consultants, volunteers and records obtained by the Florida Center for Investigative Reporting.
The policy goes beyond semantics and has affected reports, educational efforts and public policy in a department with about 3,200 employees and $1.4 billion budget.
Cartoonist Bill Day created this image to characterize—and caricature—Florida Governor Rick Scott’s apparent environmental ignorance.

Ironically, this also means that the DEP cannot say that global warming doesn’t exist, because they can’t mention it one way or the other.
In any event, real estate developers know the seas are rising, and the Pentagon says that climate change is a major threat, and those are hardly two bastions of leftist propaganda.
It’s just not Florida!! Don’t forget Senator Jim Inholf of Oklahoma who tossed a snowball in Congress to prove that Global Warming is a hoax. It reminds me as a kid, hiding under my covers, hoping that all bad things would go away. In doing all this, they are showing their ignorance of the subject.
