A dangerous plan is attempted in ‘The Iron Rose’
I had a blast reading the first Children of the Phoenix book. Two siblings found out there was more to their mother than they knew. They also found out she had been kidnapped, and were eager to rescue her. Along the way they learned things about themselves and meet some new alien species. As this book came to a close, it was clear this journey was far from over. When I heard about Children of the Phoenix: The Iron Rose I couldn’t wait to read it. I was able to get a digital copy of this book and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for The Iron Rose here:
Alice and Elias travel through the galaxy with the crew of the The Phoenix. They are searching for the Krao ship that holds their mom prisoner. The siblings and their new friends find the enemy ship docked to the space station The Iron Rose, the only problem is that it’s guarded by hundreds of Krao warriors. A rescue mission is planned, but just when they are about to execute it everything takes an unexpected turn …
I had a tough time putting this book down. While the ship is heading towards its destination, these teens waste no time. One trains in a gym and hopes to become a stronger fighter, while the other one tinkers with machines in a strange lab. When they arrive at this place, it is unlike anything either of them have ever seen. A rescue mission is planned, but shot down for being too dangerous. They decide to try it anyway, and this is when things take a terrible turn. Yet it is when Elias does something which changes both of their lives forever. As this book comes to a close the crew find themselves in a deadly situation.
Children of the Phoenix: The Iron Rose is available now. You can order this book on Amazon, at Barnes and Noble and on Bookshop.
