It is usually those that are closest to us that will end up hurting us at one time or another. They are human.
We take it the hardest when someone closest to us hurts us because they know us the best, of anyone. They know our soft spots and weak points where we are most vulnerable. They have insider knowledge of who we are as a person and what affects us the most.
When someone hurts us, as hard as it may be, we have to muster the strength to forgive them as soon as we can.
The sooner the better.
The longer we hold onto our hurt, the harder it will be to forgive them and let it go. The longer we hold onto it the more likely it will lead to resentment and we may not be able to forgive as easily later on.
We need to forgive the person, not to let them off the hook and overlook their transgressions but for ourselves, as holding on to what was done to us will tear us up inside. It will affect our mindset and have a negative impact on us.
Forgive the one who has hurt you and don’t hold on to their transgression.
Let it go quickly to set yourself free.
