Trump spent part of his speech discussing his “America First” agenda, calling for all countries to strive for sovereignty and the freedom to do what’s best for their citizens. But that didn’t stop him from listing individual nations he has a problem with, including Venezuela, Iran, Cuba and, of course, North Korea. POTUS gave his most direct warning to Kim Jong-un yet, saying; “The United States has great strength and patience, if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea. Rocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself and his regime.” In response to Trump’s remarks (and his nickname for Kim Jong-un), North Korean foreign minister Ri Yong-ho said he “felt sorry” for Trump’s aides, and added, “If he was thinking he could scare us with the sound of a dog barking, that’s really a dog dream.” As for what the rest of the world thought: In the last day, “Trump + Speech + United Nations” has a 43 percent positive score on Social. No word from the original rocket man, Elton John. –Alex Shultz
