“These gay boys that come here to the university, if their mamas knew what they did…” In college, Tavish McMillin went in for an STI test but was instead prescribed a homophobic sermon from the person drawing her blood. That’s when everything changed for Tavish. The very next day, she went to her advisor’s office and changed her major from music to behavioral health in order to combat healthcare disparities in the LGBTQ+ community.
