Continues from Part 1
For years, I have ignored my anxiety. I was so fixated on working so hard to attain a higher level of status. I felt so invested in the cause. Yet, I was ignoring the other aspects of life.
Reaching the finish line is my core message. I thought I was living up to it because I was accomplishing many of my professional goals.
Unfortunately, my focus caused me to ignore my friendships, love life, health, and leisurely activities. Focus is powerful, but focus on the wrong things is dangerous.
My focus was succeeding in my entrepreneurial life. As a result, I was pushing single women away from entering my entrepreneurial life. It’s probably why I was single during that time.
I’m more intimate with failure but I hate failing someone else, especially when there’s a large emotional investment.
I suffer from Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. Many doctors declare that it’s incurable. I wish that it was as simple as getting some type of medical procedure to feel 100 percent again. Unfortunately, it’s an ongoing challenge to live with it every day. Money can’t cure that problem. I have to live with it for now.
It’s these types of things that bring anxiety in my life. Fortunately, I’m committed to being transparent about it.
I strongly believe that many of the admired entrepreneurs suffer dearly in other areas of their life. They will never tell you though.
Perhaps, they fear the potential criticism. Many people may think that money can take care of it. Sometimes, you can throw money at a problem and walk away successful. Although, there are other times when problems can’t be solved with money.
The truth is that anxiety is going to enter and exit your life. You need to prepare yourself for its arrival. Although, it can only destroy your life if you allow it. Believe it or not, anxiety can benefit you…
