Preview images from Ultimate Spider-Man #2 seem to imply that the newly crowned title character may be able to do some things Peter Parker didn't do. Like what? How about (possibly) enhanced speed?
"That's crap!" some might say. "Peter was wicked fast, he could have probably done that if he stayed on the ground long enough!" Possibly a fair assessment. How about this, then? How's (seeming) invisibility in broad daylight sound for you?
After spewing juice all over your monitor, some of you are like, "Spiders can't do that!" Yeah, well, that's what the picture seems to imply, whadda ya gonna do? More? Well, what if he could knock a dude down by touching him, kind of like a taser touch?
The sound you're now hearing is the conservative side of the fan base collectively losing their isht. Are these things confirmed? Of course not — as "American Panther" showed, Marvel revels in misdirection. However, they do give you some things to think about, because this sure as heck is not your father's Spider-Man.
