Starting in September 2011, Komplicated launched a bold new content initiative, syndicating original stories from independent creators, fulfilling our promise to write a place for Black people in the past and in the future. This page gives you brief information on every property involved and links to their landing pages.
Southside Nefertiti (who has her own Twitter account) showcases a single mother who takes night classes, working full time, oh, and moonlighting as a super hero. Created by Mike Sales, this story has it all.

Komplicated presents the historical fiction work Freedman, a story of revenge, slavery, race, and the people history has forgotten. The series runs for an eight week season, starting September 2, 2011. The author describes it thusly:
At the end of the Civil War, four million people were freed from chains of bondage. One of these newly freed men, Charlie Moses, wanders the Texas countryside as he tries to right an injustice from his past. But is vengeance all there is? What does it truly mean to be free?
While Peter Quach is a creator of Asian descent, we feel the quality of this story deserves to be seen by our audience, and present it to you proudly. This page aggregates all of the episodes for your convenience.

Asunda Grimoires from Stranger Comics
Our newest content partner is a company with quite powerful portfolio. LA-based Stranger Comics hasn’t even hit the market with their flagship property The Untamed and Hollywood came knocking, with powerhouses like Lloyd Levin (Watchmen) and Andrew Sugerman (Shopgirl) signing on to adapt. With a richly developed swords and sorcery world populated by a much more diverse cast of elves, dwarves and monsters than your average fantasy fare, they’re rolling out a slate of properties including blog-first short fiction called Grimoires. We’re proud to present that material here … welcome to the world of Asunda.
