A kid and his mom come up with a great idea in ‘Game On’
I loved watching the first Mighty Ducks movie as a kid. It has a great cast and told a wonderful story. The sequel D2 told the next chapter in the saga of this amazing team. D3 was an alright film and helped bring this series to a close. Well now it is making a comeback in The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. I was able to watch a screener of the pilot ‘Game On’ and here is what I thought of it.

You can read the premise for ‘Game On’ here:
The Mighty Ducks have evolved from scrappy underdogs to an ultra-competitive, powerhouse youth hockey team. After 12-year-old Evan Morrow (Brady Noon) is unceremoniously cut from theDucks, he and his mom, Alex (Lauren Graham), set out to build their own team of misfits to challenge the cutthroat, win-at-all-costs culture of youth sports today. With the help of Gordon Bombay (Emilio Estevez), they rediscover the joys of playing just for love of the game.

This series has a great start with ‘Game On’. After something terrible happens to Evan, his mom has some words with the coach. After this happens his mom does get a great idea, and he agrees to do his part to make it happen. Once she finds a rink for this new team to practice in, things look to be falling into place. As this episode comes to a close, this team comes together and are prepared to go on this journey no matter what it brings their way.
