Dan Pollard is a sound designer and composer. He helps out John at Acoustic arts, where he creates instruments from repurposed materials. He wanted to make a track from all the sound that happens in John’s workshop.
We wanted to make a film that sums up the ethos of Acoustic Arts and their attitude to repurposed and recycled materials.
The way we saw it was that all of the sound Dan uses, is sound that normally goes to waste in the workshop. We also saw this as a challenge to make use of everything we shot, so there’s very little visual waste. Even the offcuts and sound slates make an appearance in the film.
Recycled Sound from GoshDamn on Vimeo.
Created with our good friend and DP, Dominic John, composer Dan Pollard and John Walls from Acoustic Arts (acousticarts.org.uk).
Please share and recycle this film.
