The swallows have returned on the back of warm African zephyrs.
–––
Once more they have braved, desert, mountain, ocean and hunters to arrive on these familiar shores.
Instantly their sheer exuberance for life is added to the beauty of the Dehesa.
They split the very air with their scimitar wings and the ancient rocks return the swallows songs of greeting in their own slow geologic way.
The first guests of Spring have arrived and the great vernal expression of the ecology is underway.
