The wild chamomile lawns of Facinas burst extravagantly into life.
The early rains have combined with Levante warmth to conspire and confuse the seasons.
Thus spring in winter has come and the joy of flowers returns once more.
It seems though, that the bees know better.
They are not charmed by this fickle trickster, this unseasonal siren.
For they remain dormant, waiting for longer days and truer heat.
The flowers then are left bereft of their companions, the air around them silent and inanimate.
Behind the moon, the frosts await to scythe and winnow the gentle blooms.
Nature as ever finds her way.
