Art Eddy went from using a wingman to find girls to using a wingman for his girls.

This week I have found the best wingman being a stay at home dad. Who is it? Well it is none other than my dad. No matter if you are a stay at home mom or dad, you can use a helping hand. Today was one of those days. I had stops to the pediatrician, the bank, the mall, and the grocery store. My oldest Lily had a doctor’s appointment and I knew she was going to need some immunization shots. There would be some crying and Lily would need pretty much all of my attention. My dad stayed with Jordan in the waiting room. This was good for two reasons. One, Lily would be crying and need a lot of TLC. Two, Jordan has her two year appointment next month so seeing Lily cry at the doctor’s office would freak Jordan out for her visit.
As a reward for being a tough girl at the doctor appointment, I got Lily (and her sister too) some munchkins at Dunkin Donuts. This store didn’t have a drive thru, so instead of bringing everyone out of the car I could just have my dad stay in the car with them and run in and save about twenty minutes. We went to the Disney store at the mall and my dad picked up some Cinderella and Tinkerbell t-shirts for the girls and some snacks at the grocery store. Lily almost forgot about the shots earlier in the day with all the fun stuff that we did after the appointment.
I needed to go into the bank and again just like Dunkin Donuts I was able to go in by myself and get that errand done without having to make sure the kids didn’t walk into the vault or ask the bank attendant for fifteen lollipops.
Plus my wife is out in LA for business this week so having my dad hanging out with the girls and me for the week is great. The girls love hanging out with their Bebop and they are entertained while I am making lunch and dinner. When the girls go to bed my dad and I get to hang out and watch movies.
In college a wingman was there to help you out at the bar to meet some ladies. Now as a stay at home dad I got a new wingman. I have to say it is the best one I ever had in my life. Thanks Dad!
