While rumours are circulating these days about how hard it is to get a partner, so one shouldn’t lose anyone they’ve got and try to keep her, We should ask ourselves “Are they worth keeping?”
Yes, you want someone you’d never let go of.
A precious gem to retain and adore, also remember not all that gleams is gold.
You don’t wanna live your life in regrets about how you should have let someone go rather than clasping on to them and wasting your time.
Here are indications to look out for, signs that she’s just glittering but ain’t really gold.
1. She isn’t compassionate.
In relationships and life in general, we all strive for someone who we can count on for emotional backing and empathy each time life throws challenges at us.
On days when we deal with struggles and tragedies, we need a compassionate partner to help ease those experiences.
If she is not compassionate, who do you turn to for emotional support?
If you can’t turn to her in your times of need, and she’s not a shoulder to lean on in times of despair, it is unhealthy, and you’ll only feel more lonely and alone than you’d be without a partner.
2. She’s not intellectually competent.
A lady has to do more than sexually arouse you. A great partner will impact you intellectually.
Appearance may draw a man to a woman, but personality is what keeps him.
If your relationship is just based on attraction, be sure to see it crumble in no time, such relationships never flourish or thrive.
Partners should be able to hold intellectual conversations about things in general.
A healthy conversation about Science, Politics, Arts and a long list of other meaningful topics are what build connections in a relationship.
It helps a man to know the intellectual level of his woman beneath her beauty and shape.
An intellectually challenging partner inspires, impacts and motivates you.
If she’s none of that, she might as well bore you to death.
3. She wears a stern look…even when you make jokes.
Partners should be able to laugh, have fun and enjoy their memorable moments together.
Yes, life should be taken seriously, but no one enjoys a partner who wears a grim look always and make them feel like they’re doing everything wrongly.
Laughter, Celebrations, Joy are what makes the beautiful experience and memorable moments.
If she’s a lady who meets every smile and joke from you with a straight face, you might as well just be wasting your time.
Why keep such a partner when you know you’re someone who enjoys balancing the scale of life seriousness with the fun and joy it has to offer?
4. She does not listen.
One necessity of a healthy relationship is being able to communicate, talk about things that you, bothered thoughts, knowing that your partner is there to hear you and support you.
As much as ladies love expressing their minds, there should equally be the tendency to listen to your partner too and appreciate their feelings.
If our deepest feelings, desires, ideas and fears can’t be shared in a relationship, then there’s no need to get into it, rather get a therapist and be done with it.
If she can’t be an emotional safe heaven for you, what’s the point in trying to keep her?
You’ll have an emotional breakdown with such kind of a person.
5. She is Controlling.
Some men relish women who are authoritative and territorial and knows what she wants, but not an overbearing one. She tries to control your life.
She wants you to stop hanging out with friends.
Quality time should be spent with a partner, yes, but it should equally be spent with friends and family.
Being in a relationship doesn’t mean you gotta stop hanging out with your friends, family and colleagues.
Ladies are territorial, they don’t want anyone nearing what is theirs, and though that might be great in a relationship, a controlling and overbearing lady will make you cut ties with everything that made you happy before you met her. I’m sure that’s not
