I am not especially informed about the status of extraterrestrials interacting with our home, Earth, but of course, I do read mainstream media “news” about the topic.
So allegedly UFOs have been rather blatantly visiting some of us down here for a few decades now. Their supposed ability to travel between galaxies and interact with species alien to them without detection indicates both extremely advanced intelligence and advanced technology.
Also, apparently extraterrestrials are inherently threatening to us because of their superior intelligence and technology. My question is, how did we come up with this correlation? The more evolved someone becomes in intelligence and scientific prowess, the more their character corrodes? Would Albert Einstein have an equation for this? We better ease up with our whole “education” concept then and not corrupt ourselves with books and schools and universities.
If these extraterrestrials have actually been around here for a while and have not yet smited our civilization with their otherworldly lasers, that seems like a win to me.
I see in these stories the same fear that divides each of us terrestrials from each other daily. We are afraid of individuals “smarter” than us, we are afraid of individuals with any diversity of mind, we are afraid of artificial intelligence eventually deciding to think for itself and destroy us. Someone allegedly smarter than you is an opportunity to learn and to advance yourself. Someone with a diverse mind is not inherently defective or threatening. Understanding a diverse mind can be quite beneficial to understanding any mind, including a typical one. Artificial intelligence began as a line of coding in a computer – if it destroys us then it is because we sucked at programming and destroyed ourselves.
You have the power to nurture your character and your belief systems instead of choosing a constant addiction to fear. Not everything in this life is positive, obviously, but things that are not inherently evil need to be viewed in a light that includes all perspectives and not just a rush to the most terrible outcome. You have the power to stop allowing yourself to compare yourself to others in a discouraging way and continue talking yourself out of your own achievements that you are well able to accomplish. You don’t have to let your thoughts keep casting disaster movies when you could be the hero of a happy peaceful ending. You’ve got this!
