The reason we face so much divisiveness in today’s world is that we are fighting change. Men have long held the reigns of power and have been largely self-interested in running the world. Now we are asked to share that power and many find that grating.
As a gender, this is where we can grow the most. Patriarchal thinking has to go. Women account for over half the world’s population. There are all sorts of sexual orientations. There are people of many colors and creeds. It is time to embrace them all. Fighting this change only makes something that should be wonderful and welcomed into something that can be quite horrendous.
I think being a good man today means standing up to protect those that are struggling to achieve equality.
