Rehearse your future: Get an instant “six-pack”, when you apply “everything else.”
We are all constantly being told that we need to exercise, drink a shake, lose weight, take this pill, buy this program etc. It seems like it’s contently all around us. No one ever tells us to “think better”, it’s what I call the “mental six-pack”. The other six-pack we refer to is the physical one we are all being drilled about on a daily basis.
I wrote my first book titled: “You don’t need talent to succeed, but everything else counts”. The theme of the book is to remind us that we are all preloaded with the “everything else” for success, if we could just get our thoughts in the right place, believe in our good thoughts and act on them, in a very short time we will start to see success, and we are well on your way to creating our “mental six-pack”.
The brain is another one of those muscles we need to do a better job working out. The good news is the “mental six-pack” does not discriminate, it does not care what you weigh, what you look like, your height, color of your eyes, nor whether you went to the gym or not. We are all capable of working the brain into thinking better or applying what I call the everything else.
“Everything else” means you already possess the ability to do the simple things that can help you think better, when you think better you are creating the “mental six-pack”. The more you apply everything else, the more you are actually developing your “mental six-pack”.
I truly believe we don’t have poor working habits, its poor thinking habits. Most of us will work hard, but what gets us in trouble is not thinking better. Below I have included a list of some of the “everything else” I am referring to. They are really simple, they are really ways of thinking better, your life is made up of your thoughts. Your thoughts are actions in rehearsal. If you can give this a chance, you will understand what this article is about.
Can you do these?
Everything else#1: “Thinking positive thoughts is good, but acting on them is even better”
Everything else#2: “Enable your thoughts to trigger a shift in your thinking; you will quickly feel a flow of good ideas. The key is to ACT on them. You have 2-3 minutes until they go away”
Everything else#3: “It takes the same energy to think about what we want and don’t want in our lives, the thought process is the same, but the outcomes are completely different”
Everything else#4: “Most of the time happiness is centered around what you are “thinking”, not necessarily what you are “doing”
Everything else#5: “I will give myself no choice but to accept and start applying all of the positive things that I think about and encounter today”
Everything else#6: “Predict your future by rehearsing it today, think what is possible”
