A pulse of quicker being passes over the stony silence.
Sheer animate vivacity manifests in defiance of the great aridity amongst the ineffably harsh and desiccating Reg.
The spiky and abrupt motion of this lizard tells an eloquent tale of life upon the edge of livingness itself.
Slowly, it picks it’s way through the shards and broken dreams of a long forgotten civilisation.
Its ancient senses reaching out to find prey amongst the shaped stones and winnowed bone.
All of which are but the blink of an eye to its reptilian kind.
