This course took us deep into the tropical canyons of Facinas.
An hours drive over rocks and streams with the trusty Subaru, and we arrive at our starting point.
From here we dropped down into the lush oak forest and followed the river, discovering the tracks of boar, genet and deer as we went.
Walking through forests of giant tree heather, where Europe’s largest butterfly, the magnificent monarch, dances in patches of dappled light, we reach out with our primal senses.
Even though Arthur is only six, he never complained at the distance or the heat. His eyes were wide open as he drank in the beauty and richness of nature.
This is an adventure that this little boy will never forget.
