The way we respond to life is our reality. Thus, we create our own reality. Victim Mentality is very interesting to study, easy to see in others, and almost impossible to see in ourselves.
I remember being at a high-end coaching event and people were going up to the microphone asking this high-end coach questions. This coach tended to answer a question with a question in order to analyze a person’s problem or situation. The person he was laser coaching would have a difficult time with his conclusions yet when he asked the other attendees if they saw what he saw or understood what he did—pretty much everyone raised their hands with a definite YES because they saw what he saw.
We all did! It was obvious. One person who was being laser coached, who hadn’t worked with the head coach had this response after everyone raised their hands saying yes they could see what he saw. She shook her head and said, “You don’t understand.” Another woman, who had previously worked with the head coach, shook her head back and forth and made this comment when everyone raised their hands with a definite yes: “Uhhh, I’ve got some more work to do on this one.” The other woman left the event. Sad and true!
Feeling Stuck
I believe we are never really stuck, we just feel that way. We easily put ourselves in a box and the instructions to get out are on the outside of the box. We may need a mentor or a coach to guide us out. Another analogy I have heard is, we are in a jar and the instructions are on the lid. Again, we may need the proper guidance and extra support to get out of the jar. Once we start allowing our Soul to do the talking, taking a break from being coached can be quite appropriate.
Are You a Victim or Are You in Your Own Way?
We have all been victimized at one point or another. So the answer to the question: Are you a victim or are you just in your own way? can be answered with a YES for both. As a victim, we get to choose to release and neutralize our Predator or the situation we experienced. We are in our own way when we do not take the time to do this process.
How We Respond Changes Everything
It’s not about what happens to us, it’s about HOW we respond to what has happened to us and whether or not we choose to get out of our own way and get the proper support and guidance that will catapult us forward. What is going on in your life that keeps you in a box with the perception that there is no way out, at least in your mind? I would suggest setting your Ego aside by thanking it for worrying about you and that you’ve got this. If that is not enough then I suggest reaching out for help. As I mentioned earlier, The Pain Body lives in the past and
The Ego lives in the future. We have a choice and that is to be fully present. When we are fully present we have the power to manifest whatever we want and can realize we are no longer a victim. Victim Mentality is LACK Mentality. So the bottom line: It’s your choice so choose wisely.
Decisions “Make decision with your heart, use your Soul for counsel, and leave your brain for storage.”~Earthwind
Making a Decision from Your Heart
Electricians know not to touch electrical wires with their left hand because electricity enters the body from the left side. So I have my clients put their left hand over their heart and their other hand on their forehead when they are making a decision. When I studied Kinetic Education, I learned that there are two energetic wires protruding from the forehead. One is coming out of the left brain and the other one is coming out of the right brain.
When we put our hand over our forehead those wires cross. This allows us to get logic from our left brain over into the emotional pictures we are running in our right brain. It is a way to calm our brain and nervous system. That’s why we see people doing that when they get bad news. They immediately put their hand on their forehead if they are upset enough by what they are hearing or even witnessing. They have the right and left sides of their brain connected energetically, if you will. I teach my clients to say, “My hand is my helper.”
Use Your Soul for Counsel
I have my clients use their 2nd Chakra to tap into the wisdom of their Soul. Until they are used to going there, I have them reach their hand out in from of them. Then I have them make a fist and bring the pinkie finger side of their fist to their abdomen—between their belly button and pubic bone. That is the area of the 2nd Chakra where fully embodied divinity, sex, and money live. It’s a place of deep inner peace as well.
