This is your starting point, the journey to yourself, with a few questions & troubling answers, from man to man. Get Ready. Seriously, how are you? What are you doing? Are you bored, happy or confused? What touches you? What do you want to achieve? Where do you stand? Any goals left? Which other men or women do you envy? Are you ready to change something? Why do you want this? Do you have time, for yourself? Does all of this appeal to you? How about following bullet points: Patience (with yourself) Mindfulness (again) Goals (Rome, it was not built in one day) Couch potato or a triathlete (relax) Manager or Worker (which emptied your battery) Intellectual or Dummy (doesn’t matter). Do you take a reorientation? Searching for a New Impulse, or just want move outside of your Comfort Zone?
Men, first, you have to learn to create & fix a new compass, this is obvious & needed, because it is about exploring new fields and expand our own boundaries, opening yourself to your own size, your own courage – ideally, your own path. It is your life. Without any excuses or any self-deception. YogaMen is a guide. The lives of men today cause hardly any physical exertion, but mental tension —with all its consequences-calling off the blue pill. The fact is, that many men are feeling pathetic, because of the pressure from outside or the self-imposed role in their life, which they can hardly break out of without collateral damage. This applies to the so-called macho as well as to the wimp. This is observed everywhere in any society, globally, moreover it is not a matter of sexual orientation.
Yoga is the ideal form of inner success for men, which I describe as useful and everyday usable, like cleaning your teeth. The obvious reference which every women must stand the same or even harder men, in this society. Moreover, this formulation makes it very clear, here is something basically wrong. Therefore, yoga for the man, with the result to be a balanced partner is also the perfect entry into your relaxed life for the woman and the family. YogaMEN is for your everyday life. Without being judged as Judas, the fact is, men do not like to work on their personal deficits, but on their strengths, a reference to all women. Men, for this unique species, it has to be uncomplicated, like a bypass cable for batteries.
I have studied intensively the origins of YOGA in India, the philosophy, the teachings and finally the total package. Historically, YOGA has been developed in Western India, more than 15`000 years ago. Moreover, in the Western world, we have lost access to it, as men. Because, we want a quick, measurable success, always quickly achievable goals, moreover calculated risk without any side effects, that’s why we use all kind of pressure in work, misuse diets, fitness-center or Smoker-lounges or any other distractions. YogaMen in the beginning, it is hardly comparable with yoga for women. My first yoga experience, many years ago in a gym, this session had nothing to do with YOGA as I know it today. Moreover, I developed the impression, which mixed yoga groups, especially for beginners, limit the success for the individual participant. YogaMEN is similar to the idea of women’s only fitness studios. Even , men basically , wants to be among other men, when he is doing exercises. Women, it certainly plays a part in that, they do not want to be permanently watched and ogled. But, even men want to move freely, especially if their physique is currently not the ideal, especially if they have a big belly. YOGA is damn exhausting, this proves not least the fact, that the German national soccer team is putting yoga as a training element, the reason: reduction of the risk of injury.
I want to implement YogaMEN into your everyday life: My approach is simple, use it everyday, you only need 15 minutes a day to get started-step by step. YogaMen is the ideal complement to other sports. Accordingly, the average man accepts the demand for a first-hand, accepted and comprehensible instruction. It is tailor-made for the untrained man and for the advanced. Reduced to the essentials, the all-in-one recommendation for the man after 35. YogaMen is adapted to the male anatomy.
Men feel, moreover freeze differently, like they are an own species, but they are not. Men’s bodies are different from women’s. Strength, structure of skeletal muscle, sexual and of course the hormonal structure, the breathing and the inclination to shortened muscles while tense tendons are just some of the differences. However, many men suffer today from strong back pain, resulting from unilateral recurring movements, wrong office chairs, incorrect extended sitting in a car, or strange exhausting movement patterns in their daily lives. Reason enough to create new patterns. YogaMEN is different from yoga for women. One BIG example is breathing; men rarely dare to breathe deeply and actively in a mixed group, strange but true. Because, if you are using only a flat breath, so as to hide your belly, this will result in shortened breathing patterns, of CO2 in the blood, leading to cramps- a devil’s circle. Get rid of that. Be yourself. Have a belly, breathe like you feel ok and be in union with your body.
YogaMen, is being able to master mental and physical requirements differently, with more balance and make you feel confident & strong, while you use all of these new gained powers, on your personal journey.
