Peace is defined as:
“a state of mutual harmony between people or groups, especially in personal relations”.
By this definition, peace is presumed to be involved with more than one person, with others.
I believe it goes deeper than that.
How can there be peace with others without first finding peace within ourselves?
How do we find that peace? Through courage, honesty, and vulnerability.
The world can be a big family gathered around a campfire singing Kumbaya, but if we’re at war with ourselves–our ego, our fears, our insecurities–do we really have peace?
Peace begins within us first.
