Michael Rowe responds to claims that Nick Jonas is using his hotness just to lure in gay fans.
As I understand it, Nick Jonas was, at one time, a member of some juvenile pop band, and now he’s an adult, and he has worked out a great deal, and now has “killer abs” and “a juicy (nude!) role on a new TV show” and he’s currently being accused of “baiting gays.” I followed everything right up to the point about “baiting gays,” but as a dyed-in-the-wool whoopsie who is not remotely averse to being “baited” (and I don’t think I’m alone in this, frankly) I fail to discern a) Why this is a problem, and b) Why this is news. I have my hands full being irritated about other things.
Nick Jonas responded to the claims in an interview with Pride Source with this:
“Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion. I think it’s unfortunate that some people have to find a negative in every situation. Clearly my heart is in the right place, and more than anything, if they just looked at my life and my gay friends and the authentic nature of where my heart is, they’d just see that they’re kind of ignorant.”
