In this episode of the New Man, straight from FB Live, I sit down with Skya Blair Boudousquie and Michael Bradley to discuss lost, suppressed aspects of Masculinity that we believe can be healed with awakened relating between hetero and homosexual men. We don’t need to be guarded and perpetuate our perceived differences, homo/heterophobia to feel safe. There is tremendous strength and vulnerability in intimacy between men.
Covered topics include:
- Traits of a “New Man”
- Dissolving unnecessary boundaries between hetero and homosexual men.
- Exploring confusion between intimacy and sexuality.
- Fear vs. Connection
- Speedo Therapy!
I have been experiencing tremendous healing since intentionally cultivating intimacy with these men. I believe most men, gay and straight, are suppressing our “faggy parts” to some degree, aka the Feminine. This shows up as we suppress and deny the soft, nurturing, sensitive aspects of ourselves that our culture, family or social group may deem to be less manly. In a society that honors the feminine, we can be soft and straight, gay and “normal” and manly while emotional and sensitive!
It’s time to shed light on these parts of ourselves and broaden these unconsciously ingrained definitions of masculinity. We also discuss “speedo therapy”!! 🙂
