Are you tired of being average? Want to finally break through and make your first million? Then it’ll help if you start acting, thinking, and feeling like a millionaire as early as now! Here are five millionaire mindset habits to develop this year.
Millionaire Habit #1: Have Unbreakable Belief in Yourself
Self-doubt is the biggest enemy of success. The moment you doubt yourself, you lose the game. I’d like you to kill any trace of self-doubt in your life by simply having an unbreakable, unshakeable belief in yourself.
That’s right: Just believe in yourself. It doesn’t matter if no one else does. It doesn’t even matter if you don’t have a logical “reason” to believe yourself. All that matters if that when trials and tribulations come your way, and people start to question you and your mission, you can simply shake it all off and say: “I’m grinding here. If you don’t like it, get out of the way. I’m grinding, and I will KEEP grinding.”
Millionaire Habit #2: Work Faster and Harder
Secondly, find ways to work faster. Some people try to avoid stress by pacing themselves and giving themselves generous deadlines for their goals. That’s okay to do if you’re burning out and getting sick, or when your work is interfering with the more important things in life.
But when most things in your life is in order – you have a roof over your head, you eat three square meals a day, you have access to the Internet – then it’s silly to pace yourself if you want to become a millionaire.
Try this: Write your goals down on paper and put it somewhere you can see everyday. Take a look at your “deadlines” for your goals. Now ask yourself: “What can I do to achieve my goals in 1/10th of the time?”
Harder, faster, stronger. That’s the name of the game this year.
Millionaire Habit #3: Put Things on Autopilot
Here’s a fun fact about millionaires: They make as few decisions each day as possible. They put most of the mundane, menial decisions on autopilot, which allows them to focus their attention and energy on the work that really matters.
U.S. President Barack Obama once revealed that he only wears two suits: A blue one and a gray one. This keeps him from having to decide what to wear – he just takes a suit and goes to work.
Try this: Run through your typical day, and note the tiny decisions you make: What to eat, what to wear, when to take a break, and so on. Then see which ones you can put on autopilot, so you can grind through the day with more energy and less stress.
Millionaire Habit #4: Make Every Single Moment Count
The key to success is to make every single moment of your day count. Strive to lose no time to daydreaming, TV watching, mindless Internet surfing, and so on.
This takes a lot of practice, and it’s easy to get disheartened when you fail. Don’t give up, and be relentless in getting the most out of your day. Remember: If you don’t make every single moment count, you’ll never get the million. It’s that simple.
And lastly:
Millionaire Habit #5: Reward Yourself
What’s a weekly/monthly/quarterly thing you can do that will make you smile and think, “This makes it all worth it?” If you can afford it, then invest in it. Remember, the road to your first million isn’t a sprint – it’s a marathon. Keep yourself fueled and you’ll get there in time.
