A letter from motivational speaker Richard Taylor
—
I get it, the struggle is real. In life we get to plateaus and hate where we are. We feel like we’ll be stuck there forever.
After years of hard work, countless of tears cried, and doing everything you were told to do, you still find yourself face-to-face with hardships and disparity. Not willing to confront yourself, you sweep your feelings under the rug and try to carry on, but truth is you’re dying inside.
No matter where you are in life—trying to make it out of school, starting a new career, launching a start-up or just figuring out your purpose in life—YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
While I don’t know each of you personally, I do know that you and I bleed the same blood, fear the same failure(s) and work towards the same thing—a better life than what we were born into.
For more than two months now I’ve been working harder than ever to try and make my dreams become a reality. And it seems as if the more I push the more resistance comes. Unashamed by my challenges, I’ll admit that I encountered a patch of bad luck during my journey and felt at times that I had hit rock bottom.
The struggle played heavy on my psyche; I wanted to give up on my dreams and goals. I kept asking myself, “Who motivates the motivators?”
Yes it was hard, but I understood that this was just temporary place, a temporary feeling. Forced to push to push through the pain to achieve greatness, I learned perseverance, character and power.
I know that the road seems long, hard and unbearable, but you will make it out. It happened for me and I know it can happen for you. It’s just a matter of you having the drive and desire for that dream to become a reality.
Identify your pain and be real with yourself, don’t sweep it under the rug. Take your pain and let it be your guiding light. Trust in your gift, trust in yourself and trust the God in you. The struggle is real, but you are not alone.

The motivator must motivate him/herself when there are no motivators around. In fact, you must be already motivated sufficiently from the moment of the vision to achieve the end manifestation of the vision. Your vision is the substance that motivators the motivated. No vision, less motivation, no motivation. Therefore, the motivator must be nourished by the environment he/she lives and the people who reinforce, respect, and support the motivator daily . #DEEPTHINKING
